A plea to
Nationalists and patriot Hindus
Subject: Vital
issues for public consideration in Karnataka Elections -– The change of Policy
requires change of Policy Makers:
JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda’s promise to waive the entire
loan, not just of the farmers, but also the housing loans of the poor, that too
within one year if his party comes to power should ring alarm bells on the
integrity of Indian democracy and the fairness of the election process through
which it operates (attachment A). Such promises, including that of Color TV by
Congress, distort the entire election process. Taxes are paid by public for
education, general welfare, defense, law and order and other issues of common
interest to the Society, not for corrupt electoral incentives by politicians to
be used against their competitors for riding on the chariots of victory.
Such open bribery, just at the time of elections, destroys
the entire sanctity, impartiality and fairness of the whole election process and
makes democracy a sham – more like a buyers and sellers market. The new rulers
of India
had more than 60 years at their disposal for cultivating a new prosperous and
poverty-free life for the Indian people and they miserably failed to deliver
this promise. Now at the verge of elections when people would take a hard look
at their performance and punish them, they have once again resorted to old
corrupt practices with intent to changing the outcome of elections in their
favor.
Such anti-democratic practices may elevate some politicians
to become 'crorepatis', but the masses continue to reel under poverty while
honest farmers are pushed in to circumstances that compel them to commit suicide
to save their honor.
Here are some vital issues that touch the very
foundations of our society and the electorate should consider before deciding as
to who deserves their vote:
1) The divisive policies of promoting two separate Societies for
Hindus & Muslims and promote disintegration by Aurangzeb like privileged
treatment to Muslims by Govt. must be challenged:
Official commitment for
enforcing the politically motivated Sachar Report, Prime Minister's commitment
for first preference to Muslims ,
his 15 point plan for Muslims
; and enforcing a communal quota system in employment and even at the topmost
technical and management institutions could lead the country towards a division
once again. The uncalled for and unconstitutional largesse amounts to open
bribery and class war initiated by Congress for clinging to power.
2)
The
Jihadist terrorism directed against
Hindu
India should be
a core issue in
Karnataka
elections:
New and old accounts are replete with
unrebuttable volumes of evidence that all these attacks and crusades are
directed against Hindu India with the twin goal of achieving country’s
disintegration and Islamization. The Jihadist terror attacks on Hindus, their
culture and temples continue in the heartland of
India
The calculated appeasement by Congress/ UPA only encourages
Jihadist terrorism and Maoist and Naxalite insurgencies. Congress has purposely
extended patronage to these subversives rather than suppressing them with an
iron hand. While the GOI sleeps, SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) has
created a country wide network of some 20,000 youth brainwashed in believing
that through terror they could convert
India into an Islamic country:
They boldly claim that "Jihad is our path. India is to be liberated by
converting it to dar-ul Islam either by conversion or by subversion."
3) Autonomy of temples and religious
freedom should be an election issue: The Karnataka state is squeezing the life
out of Temples by siphoning off their revenue to promote adversarial religions
– In
the year 2002-2003, out of Rs 79 crores of temple revenues, Rs. 59.15 crores was
given away to mosques, Madrasas, Hajj, etc., Rs. 12.75 crores was given to
Christian institutions and a mere Rs. 7.1 crores were allocated to maintain
over 248,000 temples. Such discrimination against Hindus and patronage for
Muslims and Christians is highly questionable, illegal and provocative to Hindus
worldwide.
It is understood that the committee appointed by
the Govt. and headed by the former Chief Justice of the
Punjab and Haryana
High Court, Shri Rama Jois, to review the Endowment legislation, has submitted
its recommendations. The candidates must make a public commitment to have it
reviewed by jurists and Community leaders and urgent action taken for
establishment of a Hindu Board by the new administration.
4) People must realize that Nationalists'
defeat all but guarantees the rebirth and take over of Karnataka again by a
corrupt and rabidly anti-Hindu Congress Govt.
Yes the same
secularists who are:
a) violating the faith of 100 crores Hindus by
questioning the existence of Lord Ram and calling him a mythical being and by
demolishing Ram Sethu to further inflict injury upon the majority community's
faith and religious practices;
b) letting states demolish the Hindu religious
infrastructure;
c) remaining indifferent on the arrest of our
most revered H.H. Kanchi Shankaracharya in Tamil Nadu;
d) appeasing terrorists rather than dealing
firmly with them;
e) enforcing religion based reservations and
Hajj subsidies for Muslims against a secular constitution and imposition of
Jazia on Hindus;
f) uncaring for masses as seen by large scale
farmers suicides;
g) unable to deal with
China's
nibbling on Arunachal Pradesh;
h) remaining indifferent, inactive and silent on
cleansing of Hindus from
Kashmir;
i) entering far- reaching international treaties
without Parliamentary and public consensus; and
j) concealing the fact and intensity of 30 per
cent of the total districts in the country which are infected either by
terrorism or Naxalism and that the security of the nation and people are at
stake.
5) Only the path of dharma can save
India - those
following "dharma virodhi" policies in key positions must be replaced at every
electoral opportunity. It is essential in the present environment to actively participate in
the over all management of society, policy management and its public
administration. Hindus, in view of being the majority in the state, must be
invited to provide leadership for a clean, justice minded, non-intrusive and
equitable management of their governing apparatus.
The underprivileged and needy sections of the society must
be advised not to be gullible on promises that amount to bribes and sell their
future. What they need is strong, equitable and fair governance, 'bijli, sarak,
pani" and development for good living so that they will not be treated as
beggars as indicated by the electoral promises - that may not even be kept as in
the past. "gharibi hatao" by Indira Gandhi is an example. They must vote by
their conscience for responsive and competent governance.
6) The forthcoming Karnataka elections must
not be taken lightly, since they may have far reaching consequences upon the
over all functioning of the secularist regime.
Some analysts even dare to predict that if the BJP wins big in Karnataka that
could prevent the surrender of India’s sovereignty in the nuclear field to a
foreign power as envisaged by the agreement accepted by the Sonia-Singh regime.
BJP on the other hand is committed to renegotiate the nuclear deal with
USA on the basis of equality. The rejection of the
congress designs in Karnataka may also compel and bring about a necessary change
in the attitude of the UPA making it humble and more responsive towards the
wishes and desires of the general public.
While participating in the
election the Hindu voters should cast their ballots for Nationalist candidates
with the unwavering conviction that it is their important contribution toward
meeting the serious challenges as enumerated above. During the ongoing electoral
contests the choice is generally between the BJP and the Congress. As very smart
and nationalist people you must choose one that enhances India’s national
security, enforces real democracy, rule of law, public welfare, rejects
divisive, sectarian and communal policies, strengthens the sense of Indian
nationalism and follows a foreign policy more conducive to India’s national
interests.
All patriots particularly the Hindus must actively participate in the elections
by canvassing voters and help elect competent nationalistic legislators for the
sake of the nation, the health of their families and future. The indifference
towards the election could be a costly proposition which could reduce democracy
to mere mockery, endanger the nation's security and prosperity and may encourage
even more corruption, foreign interference, demographic aggression and
terrorism. The conscientious citizens have an opportunity, nay obligation, to
put the political horse traders out of business and reintroduce sanity and
fairness in the art and craft of governing.

JDS sop: Total loan waiver for poor
By OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT
Asian Age, May 06, 2008
Bangalore, May 5: If
other parties promised a waiver of interest on loans, JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve
Gowda has promised to waive the entire loan, not just of the farmers, but also
the housing loans of the poor, that too within one year if his party comes to
power.
Releasing the party’s
manifesto — which he delayed till the other parties had released theirs so that
there could be a difference — he also assured the unemployed youths of providing
Rs 10,000 a month by making the government stand guarantee for the bank loans
for investment on self help schemes. The promise of other two major parties was
about Rs 1,000 per month as allowance for unemployed youths.
"The Congress party,
with a lot of innovative ideas and programmes, gave a 46-page manifesto, while
the BJP released a 64 page booklet. Mine has only 16 pages. That is the
difference between mine and the other parties," he said, waving the manifesto
booklet.
Interestingly, he has
demanded the ban on CET for admission to professional courses as it has become
inconvenient for rural students.
"I’m inspired by the
apex court approving the decision of the Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry governments
in CET," he said.
"Let me see who will
form the government without JD(S) support," he said in a lighter vein to counter
the bantering by the media that both Congress and BJP were confident of forming
the government.
"I have been humiliated by both the Congress and the BJP
while helping them to form the government. This time I will not support any
party," he said.
