Letter
to Poojaneeya Shankaracharyas
Subject:
Ram Sethu Bridge
destruction devastates the deeply ingrained Hindu sentiments of thousands
of years; Need a mass movement for "dharma samsthapana" and for building a
Hindu vote bank for righteous Governance to protect religion.
Poojaneeya Holy Shankaracharyas,
We gratefully thank you for initiating a
campaign to save the historic Ram Sethu
Bridge and for this purpose setting up a Committee under the guidance of a
well known national leader, Dr. Subramanian Swamy.
The Hindus all over the world
are dismayed at creating the so called Sethusamudram Shipping Canal
Project (SSCP), which has been given charge to demolish this historical
monument. This is in continuation of the Indian authorities’ efforts
to humiliate and disintegrate Hinduism by taking total control of temples
and endowments and expelling the Hindu community from them. The Kanchi
Shankaracharya's arrest on concocted charges was yet another blow towards
the same goal. In its anti-Hindu crusade the Indian officialdom did not
stop here. Rather than remaining even handed it encouraged - nay boosted
minority religious fundamentalism to enforce a divide and rule strategy
that could further divide and disintegrate Bharat, the land of Hindus.
1. Sixty years after independence, Hinduism is under
an assault as never before. Given the lethal nature of this attack it is
time for a Gandhian type mass movement for protecting religious freedom
and "dharma samsthapana."
The agenda of this movement could include:-
a) protection and maintenance of the Ram
Sethu,
b) protection and freedom of the Hindu
temples, religious infrastructure and cultural centers from the onslaught
launched by government and for their governance by autonomous Hindu
Boards.
c) integration of Dalits in the
mainstream,
d) amendment to the divisive Article 30
of the Constitution; and
e) creating an all important Hindu vote
bank for ensuring righteous governance of the country.
2. Dredging work at the Sethu Bridge,
which is a part of Ramayana and is deeply embedded in the Hindu
psyche, hurts intensely the religious beliefs and sentiments
while causing heightened degrees of distress and deep resentment in a
billion Hindus worldwide. The Ram Sethu must be classified as religious,
cultural, historical and an ancient monument of invaluable archaeological
importance. Unlike many others this site has immense traditional and
cultural value for the vast majority of Indian citizens. The Bridge has
been revered by the entire Hindu civilization since times immemorial.
It should be noted that the
Taj corridor scheme on the banks of river Yamuna, was barred by the
Supreme Court on the ground that it would threaten the historic Taj Mahal.
Similarly the Delhi Metro Rail route was changed when the older scheme was
considered dangerous to the historic Qutub Minar. The same sense of
history, culture and preservation must be applied in the case of Ram Sethu.
If the ongoing destructive
process is not stopped right away, there should be highly critical and
unfavorable comments in every Ramayana Katha now and for ever, that there
was a Congress regime - that in utter violation of the sense and
sensibility of the Indian masses heartlessly destroyed the age old
traditional and sacred Ram Sethu
Bridge.
The destruction of the Ram Sethu Bridge is a symptom of a deep malaise
which is amply proven by injurious Govt. control of Hindu temples. There
is a concerted effort by the so-called secular political establishment to
de- Hinduise India by applying the colonial policy of divide and rule. Therefore,
we may also need a strong nationwide campaign under your leadership for
promoting the change of mindset in the uncaring authorities.
3.As the ongoing developments suggest some of the State
Governments in the South are in the forefront for demolition of Hinduism
and its religious infrastructure under their jurisdiction.
Furthermore, the self professed secular Govt. of
India has become an active participant in promoting competing religions
while funding their enlargement from the Hindu coffers.
4. ***In
Andhra Pradesh, a
state where non- transparency and non-accountability for Hindu endowments
under Govt. manageme nt is a rule rather than exception, utilizes the
huge resources of TTD for many non-Hindu purposes. This loot takes place
without any legitimate constitutional authority. The
World Famous Tirupathi
Tirumala Temple receives an
annual income of Rs. Three Thousand one hundred Crores in the form
of direct cash collected from various sources. In the Financial year
2005-06, the TTD collected 2400 Kilograms of Gold 2,33,000 Kgs of Silver
and 543 Kgs of other Precious Stones including Diamonds, Rubies etc. from
the devotees. How such enormously large amounts were used for the benefit
of the community has never been revealed. In the absence of any factual
and public explanation how can one trust the authorities whose anti-Hindu
antecedents are already well established? (see attachment A).
According to the latest
official pronouncements the A.P. Govt. is going all out for taking over
the entire spectrum of Hindu religious institutions. The Endowment
Minister, Shri Diwakar Reddy, announced on March 12, 2007 that his Govt.
has decided to takeover all temples, mutts and religious trusts in the
state. Additionally, the state Govt. was planning to amend the AP
Endowments Act to enable the endowments commissioner to oversee the
day-to-day administration of mutts. It clearly amounts to Hinduism being
made a “keep of the state” in A.P. The number of temples under govt.
control has gone up to over 184,000 from about 33,000 a few years ago, and
under the new plan the state wants to take over even smallest of private
temples. Thus Hindus will have no say how their religious institutions
will be run and they will be at the mercy of a seemingly fanatic Christian
CM, who in spite of having taken the oath to function under a secular
constitution, does everything to de- Hinduise and Christianize our
institutions.
The world famous TTD with
massive income of over Rs. three thousand crores and vast
endowments properties and Hindu educational institutions have been
infiltrated, particularly by Christians under the patronage of CM
Rajashekhar Samuel Reddy. There was a recent news of protests and
tension at TTD's Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV) on March
14 , 2007, against university vice chancellor Veena nobel Das for the
alleged propagation of Christianity in the varsity and the recent suicide
of a first year post-graduate student K. Uma Maheswari in the varsity
hostel room against conversion.
5.
***In Tamil Nadu:
Through the out right abuse of Govt. power two top Hindu institutions -
H.H. Shankaracharya and the Kanchi Mutt, have been marginalized and
rendered dysfunctional. H.H. Shankaracharya, whose status is not less
than the Pope for Hindus, was arrested on Diwali night in 2004. He was
humiliated, put in jail without bail and treated like a common criminal.
Such a barbaric action against the most revered leader of the highly
civilized and non-violent faith was tantamount to a serious assault on
Hindu religion and its leadership. It is over two years now and neither
the case against him has been proven nor has he been exonerated. There are
serious allegations that heavy corruption and bribery was involved in
getting him arrested and getting the anti- conversion Act repealed in
Tamil Nadu.
It is deeply disturbing that
the TN Govt. remained silent and immobilized against a recent warning
issued by Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) president K Veeramani that the sacred
books of the Hindus, the Bhagawad Gita and the Indian epic
Ramayana, would be burnt to express his contempt against Hindus and
Hinduism in a public demonstration to be organized soon. Such Taliban like
threats and warnings are bound to rip apart the communal and religious
harmony of the country, yet erroneously the authorities chose to remain
indifferent.
6. ***In Kerala:
The Govt. hastily promulgated an ordinance on February 4, 2007 to disband
The Travancore and Cochin Autonomous Devaswom Boards (TCDB) and usurped
their authority. The timing, intent and integrity of the said
ordinance was extremely suspicious and questionable particularly in view
of the impending session of the State Assembly and the existence of a 3
man commission appointed by the High Court for investigating the
allegations of corruption.
In the current fiscal year
Secular Kerala’s treasury was filled with Rs. 268 crore solely by the
revenue from Temples under Travancore Devaswom Board, Cochin Devaswom
Board and Guruvayur Devaswom, but how much of it was used for temple
maintenance and the Hindu causes remains a mystery. According to some
reports out of tens of thousands of temples that have been rendered
dysfunctional only a few hundred are currently fully operational. As if
that was not enough, under the Kerala Land Reforms Act, 13,000 acres of
Guruvayoor’s land has been reduced to 230 acres amounting to 98% land
grab.
7. ***In Karnataka,
the Govt. has set new standards of lawlessness by taxing the
temples and without any justifiable legal authority simply diverting
their funds to enhance the Muslim run Madrassas and Christian run churches
- both being the adversarial religions against Hinduism. In the year
2002-2003, out of Rs 79 crores of temple revenues, Rs. 59.15 crores was
given away to mosques, Madrasas, Hajj, etc. , Rs. 12.75 crores was given
to Christian institutions and a mere Rs. 7.1 crores was allocated to
maintain over 248,000 temples (attachment A). No where in the world does
a Govt. engage in such robbery of one religion to benefit its
competitors.
8. Shocking Reverse Discrimination and appeasement
that could lead to disintegration:
How discriminatory and constitutionally unsound it is that on the one hand
the Indian Govt. subsidizes the "Hajj" pilgrimage of the Muslims to the
tune of Rs. 380 crores annually (including subsidy to airlines), provides
Rs. 1000 crores per year for Imams salaries, and reservations are made on
the basis of minority status, but on the other hand the state authorities
are crusading to destroy the self- supporting foundations and structures
of Hindu places of worship by putting them under control of a hostile
regime.
9. Violation of the Constitution by Ministers and
Legislators is unforgivable: The
Karnataka High Court has upheld the obvious Constitutional mandate by
striking down the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable
Endowment Act, 1997 terming it unconstitutional, stating that the
legislation violated Articles 14, 25 and 26 of the Constitution which
provided for right to equality, freedom of conscience and freedom of
profession, practice and propagation of religion and also the freedom to
manage the religious affairs;
Moreover
anticipating possible dishonorable designs of trouble makers and anti-
national elements in various administrations, the Indian Parliament
through an Act in 1991, specifically legislated that –“the status of
religious places, as on August 15, 1947 shall be retained". A faithful
implementation of these laws will require removal of the unconstitutional
govt. takeover and controls of Hindu temples.
10. "Article 30 of the Constitution is divisive
and flawed. Not only does it patronize jihadists but also penalizes
nationalists and handicaps mass education; it must be amended:
A recent petition in Allahabad High Court for "claiming minority status
by an educational institution run by a Buddhist on the grounds that it
belonged to Buddhists, whose population was below 50 per cent", points to
a serious issue. This Article is divisive and rewards the acts of
fragmenting the community, violates and contradicts the secular
Constitution by enforcing religion based discrimination against the Hindu
educational institutions and therefore, must be amended to make it
non-discriminatory and universal.
"
11. Pride
for Hinduism and its grandeur could be created by the exposition of its
Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, the Bhagwad Geeta - its glorious
ancient culture, spirituality and values. However,
such knowledge that the community would like to project and propagate is
not only denied by the state control of temples, but there are deliberate
and irreversible Govt. actions in liquidating resources of endowments
meant for sustenance in perpetuity that could stop these for good.
The temples are also the centers of community's socio-cultural and
religious life, a place of learning with Acharyas, for learning about
community sewa, dharma prachar and for building character.
12.
Hindus delude themselves into
believing in their innate genius because they shine as individuals only to
lose as a collective since they are apathetic to the need for aggressive
political unity. It is
sad that an indoctrinated Hindu intelligentsia, educated in Christian
institutions, dominates the Indian media. Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and
Kerala have begun to imitate the de facto quasi-independent states of the
North-East by gratuitously assaulting and driving out Hindus and
curtailing their freedom of worship.
The conversion to
Christianity of a sixth to a fifth of the population, strategically
concentrated to transmute into electoral victories, in alliance with
disgruntled ethnic and caste groupings, should suffice to deliver a
knockout blow to the core Hindu status quo. The elimination of Brahmins
from Tamil Nadu and the murderous expulsion of Kashmir’s Pandits are an
illustration of the plans afoot for India’s incumbent Hindu elites.
Disunity and weakened state of Hindus that
resulted in a thousand years of slavery cannot be allowed to be repeated: We have lost territories through the formation of
Pakistan and Bangladesh. The
three evangelized states in the Northeast are as good as lost. We are
slowly losing Jammu & Kashmir. In the process millions of precious lives
have also been lost. The question we must ask is: are we witnessing the
East Timor style separation from the mother country by these states using
Christianity and Islam as vehicles?
13. Our priority must be saving Hinduism and its
religious infrastructure.
Undoubtedly the Ayodhya Ram
temple issue is an important one. However, its nature under the present
divisive political climate has rather become somewhat contentious.
We strongly believe that a step by step
process for revitalizing the Hindu society is a pre- requisite for
achieving this goal. Looking from another angle, as Lord Ram had
coronation only after overpowering "asuras" (demons); similarly it may be
necessary to defeat the "adharmik" forces and unite Hindu samaj before the
temple issue could be resolved for good.
14. We must demand that Govt. allow Hindu Advisory
Councils for overseeing the Endowment departments.
Such
Councils could be elected
by the community or nominated by religious organizations like Dharma
Sansad and Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha for providing oversight and guidance
to Govt. They could simultaneously eliminate anti- Hindu policies and
non-Hindu personnel from the temple management till the denationalization
is realized. Should the Govt. refuse to set up such an apparatus that
could justify launching a protest movement.
15. Hindus must assert their electoral might in the
forthcoming Elections in U.P. in April- May 2007 :
Since Hindus intend to function within the existing constitutional
framework, they could surely set up a strong Hindu Vote Bank and put it to
use during future elections, thus electing only those who support Hindu
causes. That should send a befitting message to both the federal and state
governments of India. Such an outcome could have favorable impact upon
the demand for denationalization of temples and for retreat by
authorities from Ram Sethu project.
16. For "dharma samsthapana”, the Dharma Acharyas need
to lead a massive campaign to integrate the Dalits into mainstream of the
Hindu society. Anti- conversion laws, without the community wide
integrative movement, are not enough for social and national integration.
In a significant judgment,
the Orissa High Court on December 5, 2006, ruled that Dalits have a right
to enter any Hindu temple. This historic verdict opened the gates of the
300 year old Keredagada temple in Orissa for the Dalits. The caste Hindus,
who heretofore had maintained a belligerent stand on this issue, finally
agreed and recognized the right of the Dalits for worshipping and
performing puja in the temples.
This unprecedented ruling by the Orissa court provides an
invaluable opportunity to Hindu religious leaders and activists for
initiating social work amongst the Dalits, like Gandhi ji, which in turn
could lead to revitalization of the Hindu society. The joint worship by
the hitherto isolated segments of Hindus, accompanied by economic and
educational improvements cultivated by ending discrimination against Hindu
educational institutions is extremely important. This goal which could be
achieved by amending the Article 30 of the Constitution is bound to usher
in a new environment of hope, unity and integration.
17. Concluding Remarks:
Poojaneeya Shankaracharyas - The Ram Sethu Bridge controversy presents us
an opportunity and a challenge for initiating "dharma samsthapana" as Lord
Ram did by defeating the evil "adharmik" Ravana.
The decimation of Hindu religious infrastructure, social integration of
Dalits and the arrest of H.H. Kanchi Shankaracharya are other serious
issues that could be included in the agenda for building a powerful
movement. The current coalition govt. in New Delhi consisting of
minority parties is unwilling and even incapable of dealing with the
serious challenges faced by Hindus; therefore, only under your leadership
we can find a way to move forward.
In view of the above stated grounds may we humbly
suggest that our poojaneeya dharma acharyas recognize the challenges
before the Hindu Samaj during these tumultuous times and assume leadership
for actively guiding it towards 'dharma raksha" and "dharma samsthapana.” To
this end, consideration may also be given to raise these issues during
the upcoming Uttar Pradesh and other election campaigns for
enlisting public support, against the unforgivable anti- Hindu and
anti-national policies pursued by the people in power. Hindu votes are
precious and they must be put to use for nation building and ending Govt.
corruption in temples that shackle, humiliate and debilitate Hinduism - a
faith that is the single most important unifying factor in
India's body
politic.

A
ASSAULT ON HINDUISM IN INDIA :
Govt. control of Hindu
religious infrastructure is the instrument of decimating Hindu religion
and culture
Hereunder are
the examples of the abusive control by states in South India that have
virtually engaged in demolishing the Hindu religious infrastructure. The
abundance of available evidence has proved beyond any doubt that
under government control, the Hindu temples have not only been exploited
injuriously but are also being driven to their ultimate extinction.
Nationwide, the famous temples of Jagannath Puri, Tirupati,
Kashi Vishwanath, Vaishno Devi, Shirdi , Guruvayoor, Chamunda Devi,
Dattapeeth, Kali Mandir of
Patiala, Amarnath, Badrinath,
Kedarnath, etc. have already been taken under the Govt. control.
In Andhra Pradesh: AP Govt.'s
continuing blitzkrieg against Hinduism with
massive sale of temple lands seems a policy of looting temples for
bringing down Hinduism.
Andhra Pradesh Govt. is going all out for controlling the entire
spectrum of Hindu religious institutions. The Endowment Minister Shri
Diwakar Reddy announced on
March 12, 2007 that AP State
Govt. plans to takeover all temples, mutts and religious trusts in the
state. Furthermore, the government is planning to amend the AP Endowments
Act to enable the endowments commissioner to oversee the day-to-day
administration of mutts.
Injurious Governance:
As per recent information there are more than 1,84,000 Temples under
Government control who are taking away all the donations given by devotee
in the form of cash, clothes, jewellery or in any other form. In return
only 18% of the Revenue is given back for the maintenance of Temples and
pay salaries of Priests. More than 40,000 Priests are earning salary below
Rs.500 /- Month and over 3,000 Priest who are earning 400 /- for the
whole year.
The Major chunk of money is
been used by government for various schemes under Indira Yojna, Rajiv
Yojna etc etc which in no way is helping either the Hindu community or
Hindu Temples.
In 2004, the AP Govt.
engineered the entry of JRG Wealth Management Limited, an organization
owned by Christians, into the decision making and procurement process of "Prasadam"
materials for use in Tirupati temple. Furthermore, the criminal
destruction of centuries old historic Mandapam at TTD with official
participation that has been universally condemned by all Hindu ranks and
it has generated enormous resentment!
The fact that even with huge battalions
of staff for oversight, the Govt. could not protect the temple lands
simply proves either incompetence, indifference or both of the authorities
in performing their responsibilities. Such an irresponsible establishment
cannot and must not be trusted to handle these centuries’ old estates and
temples belonging to Hindu community.
Unwarranted & illegal Actions : Against
the spirit of the law, strong opposition and wishes of the Hindu community
the AP government wants to: a) take
away Rs 500 crores from TTD (Tirupathi Tirumala Devasthanam) supposedly
for irrigation projects on top of the Rs.1,500 crores it already owes
them; b) build a
ropeway at TTD for turning the sacred shrine into a tourist attraction
thus commercializing and desecrating the deeply revered shrine
and vitiating its religious sanctity; and c) takeover the 500 year old
Chilkur Balaji temple so efficiently run by the pujaris and locals. These
highly provocative, unsettling and expeditious measures amongst many
others are being taken without any public debate or the approval of the
Hindu community, who are the real owners.

SIMACHALAM (AP)
Situated 15 Kilometers from
the Port city of Vishakapatnam, Simachalam is the Ancient Temple of
Narasimha Swamy. Very Recently the Temple has come under siege
by Christian Missionaries, who have illegally occupied over 300 Acres of
temple land with the help Christian land Mafias and local Congress
Leaders. The Devotees are restricted at the foothills by the Christians
who abuse our God as demons and physically try stopping Hindus by luring
them by providing them basic day to day needs. On many occasions the
devotees have complained to the local administration, who are watching all
this helplessly. In a span of 20 Months, four churches and 3 convent
schools have come up in the vicinity at the foothills and a small temple
of Hanuman has also been demolished overnight.
C
BHADRACHALAM (AP)
BHADRACHALAM is a famous
temple dedicated to Lord Sri Ramachandra and situated on the banks of the
sacred river Godavari. Today this temple is also under the siege of
Christian Missionaries who have influenced the government to donate 884
Acres out of 1289 Acres of Temple land for their Activities. The Temple
which had a passage of 8 entrances has been left with a narrow passage for
the devotees to enter the temple.
D.
ARASAVALLI (AP)
AT ARASAVALLI, which is
practically the same as Srikakulam, the headquarters of the
northernmost district of Andhra, there is a temple of Lord Surya.
Temples dedicated to the
worship of Lord Surya are rare in our country.
Seventh Day Adventist
Church has constructed a church right in front of both the entrances. No.
of Devotees visiting the ancient temple has come down by 85% in just one
year.
E. SRISAILAM (AP)
SRISAILAM is situated in the thick and inaccessible forests of the
Nallamalai hills, in the northeastern portion of the Nandikotkur Taluk of
Kurnool District. It lies on a straight line west of Vijayawada, right as
it were in the centre of South India. It is 73 miles north of Nandyal
Railway Station.
Puranas have described this abode of Mahadev as Prantha Jyothirlinga which
is situated all sides by mountains which legend says that our great Rishis
and Munnis did penance.
The Endowment department has sold over 1600 Acres of Temple Land
surrounding the temple to various Christian Organisations including Tribal
Gospel
F.MANGALAGIRI (AP)
MANGALAGIRI is situated on the Bezwada-Guntur road and is about 8 miles by
road from Vijayawada. On the top of the Mangalagiri hill there is a famous
temple called the Panakala Nrusimhaswamy temple, which has been attracting
pilgrims for a very long time, and from all parts of the country. The
nearest railway station is Mangalagiri on the Guntur Vijayawada line but
to visit the temple, the better course would be to get down either at
Vijayawada or at Guntur and take bus connections.
This anicent Temple which has the largest Gopuram approximately 14 Floors
constructed by King Yudhistra has been under the attack from Christian
Missionaries. Due to Poverty stricken over 35% of the population are
forced to convert to christianity and others are forced to leave in fear.
Hindus are forced to visit the temple between 10 A.M - 1.P.M because of
fear of attack from Christians who are residing in large number at the
foothills.
G.
AHOBILAM (AP)
Ahobilam is located in
Karnool district of Andhra Pradesh in the hills of the eastern ghats,
about 400 KM northwest of Chennai. The temple consists of nine shrines to
Lord Narasimha located around a 35 KM circle in dense forest surrounded by
wild Animals.
Not many know, Ahobilam is
the same place where Lord Narasimha had taken Incarnation and had killed
the Demon Hiranayakashayapu. Lot of evidence is available even
today - e.g. : a) Place where Lord Narasimha Appeared, b) Cave School
of Prahalad, c) Vascul (door entrance) on which lord killed the Demon; d)
Palace Remains of Demon Hirayanayakashayapu.
Unfortunately, no
Government of Andhra Pradesh took any interest to develop or provide
facilities to the oldest temple on this Earth. Poojas and aratis is
conducted in only 3 temples daily and annually once for the remaining 9
temples which are in thick forest.
The Negligence on the part
of the government is helping Christian Missionaries to illegally occupy
Temple land and are slowly taken up the task to destroy the ancient
remains of Hindus temples.
In Tamil Nadu, H.H. Shankaracharya who whose status is not less than that of the
Pope for Hindus, was arrested on Diwali night. He was humiliated, put in
jail without bail and treated like a common criminal. Such a barbaric
action against the most revered leader of the highly civilized and
non-violent faith was tantamount to a serious assault on Hindu religion
and psyche. It is over two years now and neither the case against him has
been proven nor has he been exonerated.
The statue of E V Ramasamy Naicker - Periyar for the devotees of
Dravidianism has been alowed to be installed in front of the Rajagopuram
of Srirangam temple. He was a known Hindu-baiter and will obviously hurt
the sentiments of many. He was a man who made a life out mocking the
Hindu sensibilities and sentiments. But he did that in his individual
capacity. By installing his statue where Hindus congregate in large
numbers, the government, seems to have given institutionalised legitimacy
to his acts.
In Kerala: the
Govt. hastily promulgated an ordinance on February 4, 2007 to disband The
Travancore and Cochin Autonomous Devaswom Boards (TCDB) and usurped their
authority. The timing, intent and integrity of the said ordinance was
extremely suspicious and questionable particularly in view of the
impending session of the State Assembly and the existence of a 3 man
commission appointed by the High Court for investigating the allegations
of corruption.
In the current fiscal year Secular Kerala’s treasury was filled
with Rs 268 crore solely by the revenue from
Temples under Travancore
Devaswom Board, Cochin Devaswom Board and Guruvayur Devaswom. How much
of the money was used for temple maintenance and Hindu causes is not
revealed.
According to the latest reports out of tens of thousands of temples that
have abnormally been rendered dysfunctional only a few hundred are
currently fully operational. As if that was not enough, under the Kerala
Land Reforms Act, 13,000 acres of Guruvayoor’s land has been reduced to
230 acres amounting to 98% land loot. The revenue of this Hindu entity is
subject to misuse even loot by the state authorities. In order to appease
the officially inspired Christian protesters and promote their electoral
base the officials unilaterally abandoned the construction of railway line
from Kottayam to Erumeli to Hindu Hill Shrine.
In Karnataka,
the government has set new standards of lawlessness by taxing the temples
and without any justifiable legal authority simply diverting their funds
to enhance the Muslim run Madrassas and Christian run churches - both
being the adversarial religions against Hinduism. Not even in the godless
Soviet Union was one religion sacrificed in favor of the other. Clearly no
law of the land gives any right to the establishment for siphoning Hindu
funds for promoting Islam and Christianity.
